However, other ingredients can be added to the salad, such as tomatoes, shrimps and crispy pork. This dish doesn’t have a lot of ingredients, but it’s exactly that simplicity what makes it so tasteful. The bland glass seasoned noodles mixed with the spicy and sour flavor of the dressing, coupled with the crunchiness of the peanuts… It’s all you need to awaken your palate. But don’t worry too much if you cannot deal with spicy food very well. The hot flavor of the dish is balanced with the freshness of the cilantro and the lime juice.

If you haven’t tried a green Papaya, its flavor, crunchiness, and freshness can be compared to a cucumber. The green papaya, mixed with roasted peanuts and green beans, adds that extra crunchy texture to the salad; besides, it goes perfectly well with the delightful spicy, sweet and sour dressing.

Last but not least, the Pad Thai is very well-known, not only in Thailand but also in other parts of the world. The rice noodles are stir-fried with eggs and chopped firmed tofu; also, you can add some roasted peanuts to have a nice contrast in texture. The Pad Thai is salty but at the same time spicy, sour and sweet, because of the red chili pepper, the lime juice, and the sugar. Other ingredients that complement each other in this traditional dish are tamarind juice, dried shrimp and fish sauce. All these flavors and textures represent very well what Thai food is all about, and leave no doubt as to why it has been chosen as Thailand National dish.
