1. Anse Gaulettes Beach, La Digue Island

It is a meeting point for surf lovers. This beach of approximately 1.82km long is easily accessible since it is very close to the main road and there is bus service. For your visit you have to take into account the tides and if you want to surf, it is advisable to check before the sea state.

2. Anse Takamaka Beach, Mahe Island

With its incredible white sand and crystal clear water it is supported by large picturesque rock piles on both sides. Close to the coast, near lush tropical forests. The coast is covered with fine gold and white sand. There is no infrastructure. There are no hotels nearby. The beach is empty. The waves here are much lower than in the nearby Anse Intendance. Remember that it is dangerous to walk in the water with bare feet, as it is possible to step on sea urchins.

3. Baie Ternay Marine National Park, Mahe Island

This park is home to the mountain of the same name, which is the highest peak of the archipelago with a height of about 905 metres. In the park we can also find the beautiful beach of Baie Ternay, which is very popular with divers and sailors. Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to reach it by car, as the road to the beach is closed to tourists. Baie Ternay is a paradise for those lucky enough to walk along the white coral sands and explore the coves.

4. Casse Dent Trail, Mahe Island

Casse Dent is a day hike with a bit of up and down that takes you through the ruins of ancient settlements and vineyards to the viewpoints. From there you have a view not only of the western part of the island, but also a small waterfall and a cave to explore. If you are going to Seychelles and you are a hiker, this is a worthwhile itinerary.

5. Morne Seychelles National Park, Mahe Island

Home to a variety of endemic flora and fauna, this national park will surprise you at every turn. It extends over an area of more than 30 square kilometres and occupies 20% of the entire island of Mahe, which also contains tropical forests, mangroves and mountains. The National Park offers trails and tours to experience the wildlife where you will discover its wonderful and unique flora and fauna. You can explore a total of 12 different hiking trails on a lunch or full-day excursion.

6. Sauzier Waterfall, Mahe Island

Sauzier Waterfall is located in Port Glaude, Mahe Island, with a simple jungle setting and beautiful waterfalls. The waterfalls are easily accessible, a 5 minute walk along a nature trail starting in the village of Portglauda. After paying a small entrance fee, you will continue on a short, easy trail through the jungle for about 5 minutes before reaching the base of the falls. At the foot of the waterfall is a deep, very refreshing swimming hole. The swimming area is deep, but not deep enough to jump off the cliff or the adjacent cliff to the left.

7. Anse Gouvernement Beach, Praslin

This beautiful beach is located in Baie Lazare, east of Mahe. It is not very accessible, so it is effectively empty. One of its advantages is that the trees stick to the shore and provide good shade. As it is not in the open sea and there is a small coral reef nearby, it has no waves and the water is crystal clear. It has rocks and coral debris on the bottom in some places, but it is not bothersome at all. A beautiful beach to relax and walk!

8. Anse Lazio Beach, Praslin Island

This beach is located north of the island of Praslin, the second largest of the Seychelles archipelago. It does not have a particularly large coral reef, like other beaches in the area, but despite being more open to the surf, it is a quiet beach during most of the year, and despite being one of the most popular beaches of Praslin, it is not too crowded, and you can place the towel calmly, and get into the water without problems. The beach has spectacular waters with different shades of turquoise.

9. Valle de Mai nature reserve, Praslin Island

It is a valley in the heart of the Praslin National Park, an area that was untouched until the 1930s and still preserves a large primitive palm grove in an almost natural state. This place is as paradisiacal as it looks. There are several walking tours and all the hotels offer guided walks. They are good for spotting wildlife, but not essential. On the way you will pass by a viewpoint to contemplate the whole forest.
