Okpoama Beach is located in Karabapogu, in the South South Nigeria region. This stunning stretch of soft sand is backdropped by a verdant forest, giving off a feeling of unspoiled nature. The beach is windy causing the waves to be usually strong and unsafe for inexperienced swimmers. However, just sunbathing and taking a relaxing walk is an experience on its own. Since Okpoama Beach is not a touristy spot, it tends to be quiet and never gets crowded.


Ibeno Beach, Kwa Ibo

Ibeno Beach is located in Kwa Ibo, in the South South Nigeria region. A popular and extensive beach with soft sand and a relaxing atmosphere, great for a fun beach day with friends or family. The waves are rather strong but still great for swimming; you can find volleyball nets set up on the beach and there are usually people playing beach soccer. It tends to be busy in the afternoon, but only gets crowded during weekends. There are a couple of places to eat and get fresh drinks nearby.

Tarkwa Bay, Lagos

Tarkwa Bay is located in Lago. It is a protected artificial beach located near the port of Lagos in Nigeria.  Due to its island status, can only be accessed by boat or water taxis. The beach, popular with swimmers and water sports enthusiasts, also has a welcoming community of residents.

Landmark beach is located in Lagos. It is a very wide, well cared for and beautiful beach. You can do many activities on this beach, such as jet skis or kite surfing. Near this beach are the Landmark Event Centre, Hard Rock Cafe, the Shiro restaurant with Japanese theme and also Casper Gambini Catering, all internationally recognized brands operating in Lagos, Nigeria.

Elegushi beach is located in Lekki, Lagos. The beach is owned by the Elegushi royal family in Lekki, Lagos State. Elegushi’s private beach is seen as one of the best beaches in Lagos and Nigeria in general. The beach receives about 40,000 visitors every week, Sundays are the busiest days. You must pay to access this beach and this payment is made directly at the entrance.

Eleko beach is located in Lekki. It opened its doors in 1989 as a serene and private beach on the Lekki peninsula, about 48 kilometers east of the island of Lagos.  Far from the hustle and bustle of the metropolis, it generally has an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity.

Here you can find different establishments where you can buy drinks and food, if you want to save a little, you can also bring your own food and drink. Nearby there is a hotel where you can stay to have the beach nearby.

Ilashe Beach is located in Lagos, in South West Nigeria. Soft white sand stretches for as far as the eye can see in this unique and picturesque beach, offering some of the most beautiful views in Nigeria. Ilashe Beach can only be accessed by boat, and this gives a feeling of privacy to it. During the week, the beach is quiet and perfect to disconnect from a busy life; however, keep in mind that it can be busy all day during the weekends. Still, the beach is extensive enough for you to find a quiet spot. There are a few places to stay in the area with swimming pools and great services.

Alpha Beach is located in Lekki, in South West Nigeria. With its golden sand and stunning coastal views, this relaxing small beach is a great place to clear your mind. The waves tend to be big but the water is shallow for a few meters, with a gentle slope. There are a few restaurants and beach bars in the area. Keep in mind that it can be crowded during the weekends and holidays; besides, the beach has an entrance fee.

There are many activities you can engage in, most of them aimed at helping to preserve the environment, and giving kids the chance to stay in school. Joining these volunteering activities is unforgettable, and you can also get a horseback ride along the beach, and find volleyball nets set up in the sand. There are no restaurants or accommodation in the area, but you can bring your own food.

Suntan Beach, Badagry

Suntan Beach is located in Badagry, in South West Nigeria. Very extensive and calm, this beach welcomes you with golden sand and stunning surroundings, offering the perfect atmosphere to relax and disconnect. The waves are strong and not suitable for inexperienced swimmers, but visitors tend to enjoy playing on the shore. Places in the area offer fresh seafood and cool drinks; besides, you can get a horseback ride along the beach. It usually gets busy during the weekends but never feels overly crowded. Keep in mind that you need to pay an entrance fee.
