1. Abuja National Mosque, Abuja

Officially built in 1984, it is open to non-Muslims except during prayer times. There is a library and a meeting room. It was originally built in the 15th century. It was destroyed in the 1950s and then rebuilt with British help.


2. Olumo Rock, Ogun

This rock of Elm is incredibly beautiful and the most famous place in the village. Everyone has a lot of respect for this rock. This is a sacred rock (many locals believe it has spiritual properties) and protector of all Egba. Tourists visiting this place have the opportunity to climb and visit the surrounding caves. This is a fascinating experience. You have to hire a guide from the tourist centre to the base of the rock where you can start exploring.


3. Awhum Waterfall, Enugu

It is believed that the waterfall has healing powers and can ward off evil spirits. For this reason, a monastery was built near the waterfall. This turned the waterfall site into a place of pilgrimage and prayer for Christians. This also affects access to the site, which is regulated by the monastery. The waterfall is not only famous for its cascading water, but also for its numerous lakes and virgin streams.

It is a series of limestone caves, said to house a variety of spiritual and healing activities, and many believe it has properties that help cure various ailments. it is truly amazing that it has been formed over a long period of time due to erosion. from the sea. Bats are the main inhabitants of the caves, but other animals can also be found near the rainforest, such as antelopes, pigs and snakes.


5. The Giant Footprint of Ukhuse Oke, Edo

One of the most unique and interesting sites in Nigeria is a giant prehistoric footprint permanently embedded in a flat granite rock. It is believed that the footprints were made when the world was still in a molten state, which presents a challenge to archaeologists.

The park is rich in wildlife and is located in the north-eastern part of the country in the heart of Savannah. It is home to more than 50 species of mammals, including African elephants, lions, buffalo, monkeys and hippos, and is home to the largest number of elephants in West Africa, estimated at around 500. The best time for safaris is from February to April, with special trail walks and guided tours. It is also an attractive place with many springs created by geothermal activity.


7. Agbokim Waterfall, Cross River

Near the border of Nigeria and Cameroon, 17 km away. The waterfall consists of 7 branches, each cascading down the cliffs and offering 7 waterfalls. They are on the edge of a small village of traditional houses, hidden behind a large jungle tree. Definitely a special balance between nature and locals.


8. Kwa Waterfall, Cross River

Kwa Falls is an amazing waterfall. Located in the Cross River National Park. Natural water flows through lava in a tropical rainforest. The water is represented by a staircase of 234 steps down to where a murky waterfall sleeps. Surrounded by nature, it is the perfect place for adventure.
