Barra Of Santiago is located in Jujutla, in Western El Salvador. With soft sand, clear water and a stunning sunset view, this beach is a favorite tourist spot in El Salvador. All year long, a bunch of exciting activities are available on the beach; boating among the mangrove forest is a top activity. Restaurants in the area offer international and local dishes, and fresh seafood. During the high season, tourism in the area is high and the beach can get crowded, especially around noon. Stay to admire the sunset, as friendly locals share famous tales and legends with you.

The Espino Beach is located in Usulutan, in Eastern El Salvador. This thin stretch of dark sand is as beautiful as it is relaxing. You can head to the mangrove forest and admire these verdant trees up close. With the low tide, you can walk for kilometers and only find flat sand with no rocks; the beach becomes quiet and peaceful. There are some restaurants on the beach, and grocery stores nearby to get what you might need. Since The Espino is not a touristy beach, it becomes the perfect place to get away from the world and relax.

Las Flores Beach is located in La Libertad, in Eastern El Salvador. This is a small beach, not so popular, not crowded, and very quiet. It gives the feeling of a private beach, with lush trees and blue water with great waves. There are many restaurants in the area, the menus ranging from seafood to local Salvadorian dishes.

Metalio Beach is located in Metalio, in Western El Salvador. Its dark sand has almost no rocks, making it soft unlike most beaches in El Salvador. The waves are small and calm, safe for kids and inexperienced swimmers. Being a touristy area, there are many restaurants serving fresh sea food, stores and bars nearby, and since the beach stretches for long, you can play volley ball and soccer. At sunset, the pink and purple hues of the sky contrast with the black sand, giving you a breathtaking view.

San Diego Beach is located in La Libertad, in Western El Salvador. This long beach with soft sand stretches for so long that you will always find a spot for yourself, even at the busiest hours. Many people enjoy beach volleyball and soccer, while others ask the local fishers to join them and learn about fishing in the area. Backdropped with high mountains and even volcanos, San Diego gives off amazing views; stay at night and camp under the stars. A handful of restaurants in the area offer fresh and delicious seafood and typical Salvadoran food.

Zunganera Beach, La Paz

Zunganera Beach is located in La Paz, in Western El Salvador. Being quite far from the city, this beach is not so popular among tourist, which makes it perfect for relaxing and disconnecting from the rest of the world. Small groups of palm trees around the beach make for a great spot under the shade. Ask the local fishermen to take you on a boat ride, and they might even teach you all they can about fishing. Restaurants and stores in the beach serve fresh seafood, drinks and all kinds of snacks. If you want to stay the night, you have to ask the local autorities, but make sure you bring everything you need.

Cuco Beach, San Miguel

Cuco Beach is located in San Miguel, in Eastern El Salvador. This unforgettable beach has calm and warm waters, with nice waves for surfing. However, it can get deep quickly; be careful if you are not an experienced swimmer. Along its black sand, you can find many restaurants offering fresh seafood, tasty and for reasonable prices. As you walk on the beach, you can see locals and tourists alike playing beach soccer; join them and have fun! Being able to watch the sunset and sunrise from the same spot is what makes this beach so special.
