San Lorenzo Beach is located in San Lorenzo, on the Southern Pacific Coast of Nicaragua. With soft white sand surrounded by verdant hills and vegetation, this lovely beach is a great option for nature lovers, where you can relax and disconnect. The water is clear, with small waves great for swimming; to the left end of the beach, the waves are stronger and perfect for surfing. There is only a small bar and a lodge at the beach, with good facilities and friendly staff; you can also get a horseback ride along the coast. The beach is mostly frequented by locals, and it is usually empty and quiet.

Being a very touristy place, the atmosphere is always fun and active, but the beach never gets unbearably crowded. The water is warm and shallow, making it safe and a favorite beach among families. There are two seafood restaurants in the area, with great views of the sea.

A beach bar on the shore offers refreshing drinks and snacks, and many resorts and hotels nearby grant you with good accommodation and a great service overall. You can enjoy a match of beach soccer or volleyball, or take a horseback ride to visit and explore nearby towns.

Maderas Beach is located in Rivas, in the Southern Pacific Coast of Nicaragua. Both sandy and rocky, this beach has great waves that local surfers love. Being such a lonely beach, sunbathing on the soft sand with only the sound of the waves as background music, makes Maderas Beach a great place to relax. However, you can also have fun playing beach volleyball or getting surf lessons. There are some food stores in the area, and if you head to the right end of the beach, you find a camping service where you can also get snacks and camping supplies.

Colorado Beach is located in Rivas, in the Southern Pacific Coast of Nicaragua. Not many beaches in Nicaragua have sand as white as Colorado Beach, and its waves attract surfers from all over the world. Having such clear waters, the beach is also great for snorkeling. There are a variety of resorts in the area, and a cafe at the northern end of the beach, where it connects with Los Perros Beach. You can bring your own food and camping supplies to stay the night after admiring the sunset.

Flor Beach is located in Rivas, in the Northern Pacific Coast of Nicaragua. This unique beach has fine, soft sand, with rock formations peeking out of the water. However, the highlights of Flor Beach are the sea turtles, arriving at the beach between August and October to lay their eggs on the beach. Both the experience of the turtle’s arrival and the baby turtles hatching and leaving for the sea are beautiful and unforgettable. There are no restaurants or facilities in the beach, but you can bring your food and camping supplies to stay the night in the beach, since at this time of the day is when the turtle arrival happens.

The waves are great for surfing beginners, but still safe to swim and play in the water; you can also find volleyball nets set up along the sand. There are all kinds of restaurants, accommodation and stores along the beach and around the city, offering a wide range of options. This is a very popular beach, but even during the busiest days, it never gets overly crowded.

Backdropped and surrounded by forested hills, this serene beach offers soft white sand and a serene atmosphere; the perfect getaway to relax and disconnect. The waves are rather strong, great for strong swimmers to play and enjoy swimming. A large stream flows into the beach, called El Bastón, where a small population of crocodiles live; but don’t worry! The crocodiles never leave the river water, and you can admire them from afar. There are a few restaurants and accommodation along the beach, with very welcoming staff and good facilities.

There is only a small restaurant and a hotel at the beach, making Hermosa Beach an unspoiled spot for nature lovers to relax in a quiet atmosphere. It never gets busy or crowded, and the atmosphere is usually serene.


El Remanzo Beach, Nicaragua

Corn Islands are two islands located off the Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua. Known for their white sands, clear turquoise waters and tall palm trees, this archipelago is a top vacation spot among locals. With time, Corn Island and Little Corn Island get more popular, but even during the busiest hours the islands are quiet and never crowded. There are many restaurants and hotels in both islands, as well as local tour operators. Many people come here to admire the underwater world, snorkeling and diving to get close to the coral reefs around the islands.
