The following highlights some of the popular Traditional Central African Republic Foods. If you manage to be in an Central Africa Republic restaurant or you are visiting Central Africa Republic, I recommend the following

1. Chichinga

They are usually roast goat kebabs, i.e. pieces of goat meat cooked on the barbecue.

2. Chicken and Cumin Stew

African-style chicken stew is an exotic meal, originally from West Africa, which can be served with boiled rice and buttered spinach. It can be enjoyed at any time, but is especially good in autumn.

3. Egusi Sauce

Egusi Stew is a popular West African dish. Ground melon seeds cooked in a tomato and pepper stew with most often spinach like greens or other African herbs and vegetables.

4. Muamba

Is one of the staple dishes of the typical food of Angola and several other countries on the African continent. It is usually made from chicken or hen. It is stewed with tomatoes, onions, salt, garlic, pumpkin, lemon juice and the classic palm oil. It has a balanced flavor, as the slightly spicy taste of some of the typical ingredients is tempered by the sweeter, moreish taste of the pumpkin.

5. Shrimp with Boiled Sweet Potato

It is a delicious dish prepared with boiled sweet potatoes, tomatoes and peppers, onions and various aromatic spices.

6. Kanda Ti Nyma

Kanda is a delicious dish of minced beef meatballs with pumpkin seeds that is very popular in the Central African Republic. The proportions between the seeds and the meat are very similar, giving the meatballs a very particular and delicious taste that complements the rest of the ingredients very well.

7. Muamba De Galinha

It’s ready in about 1 hour and 15 minutes and is definitely a super caveman, gluten-free, dairy-free and primary choice for African food lovers. It is made with chicken, onion, palm oil or dendem muamba, garlic, okra plus a type of chili.

8. Foutou

Foofoo, foufou, foutou or fufu are the names by which this cassava and plantain dough is known. It is an economical and nutritious recipe, perfect for children and adults. In some countries, fufu is made with semolina and water, in others only with cassava.

9. Fufu

An essential food in most of West Africa, it refers to a dough made from boiled and mashed starchy soil provisions such as plantains, cassava or malanga, or a combination of two or more. It is served family-style in the form of a large, round dough. Each guest pulls the dough by hand and uses it to soak up the juices from stews or stew preparations.

10. Spinach Stew

Green leafy vegetables are boiled with onions and tomatoes, before palm oil is added, while in other regions the onions and tomatoes are usually sautéed first. This dish is traditionally served with fou fou fufu or boiled plantains.
