Savo Island is one of the Florida Islands, part of the Solomon Islands. The island is full of history and amazing landscapes, offering an amazing adventure. A number of World War II naval conflicts took place on the waters surrounding Savo Island; for this reason, there are shipwrecks near the shore, especially off the southeastern coast. Diving around these shipwrecks is an unforgettable experience. There is a 480-meter high stratovolcano, and a 2-hour climb takes you to the top, where you can admire breathtaking views over the island. The water is bright blue and warm, with waves for swimming and bodyboarding; to the right end of the beach, you can find a shipwreck, from where you can jump into the water. There are thatched huts, known as fales, lined up along the beach, with lush trees for cover and shade, and a few local snack stores. It never gets crowded here, but it can be busy during high season,especially on weekends.

You will find this beach if you head northwest from Lela Beach, and you are welcomed by golden sands and lush trees. The water is safe for swimming, crystal clear and calm, with coral reefs and marine life offering great snorkeling. There is an entrance fee you need to pay the locals, which varies according to car size, and it will be higher if you want to snorkel. You can bring your own food and have a barbecue and picnic at the beach. It never gets crowded or busy here, and the atmosphere is quiet even during high season.

There are no restaurants at the beach, but you can find some thatched roofs for picnics; there are different entrance fees for car sizes and activities, and you can find a sign with the different prices along the entrance road. Mbonege Beach is usually uncrowded and peaceful, but it can be busy on weekends during high season.
