Panormos Beach is located in Mykonos Island, part of the Cyclades of Greece. This is a white sandy beach, with crystal clear water, small waves and beautiful views of the sea and far off hills. The waters are shallow and safe for kids and inexperienced swimmers. There is a greek restaurant in the area, and a resort plays lounge music to add to the relaxing atmosphere. However, there are no shops nearby, so bring all beach supplies you might need. It gets crowded on sunny days and during the summer months, especially in the afternoon.

Red Beach, Santorini

Red Beach is located in Santorini Island, part of the Cyclades of Greece. A small beach with dark sand surrounded by red cliffs and scattered with volcanic rocks. Admiring the contrast between the steep red cliffs and the calm blue water is breathtaking. The safest way to reach this beach is by boat; if you decide to go by foot, beware the rocks can be unstable. There are no facilities at the beach, and it’s hard to find shade, however, the beach still gets crowded, so get there early in order to enjoy the quiet, empty beach.

Prasonisi Beach is located in Kattavia, in Rhodes Island, part of the Dodecanese Islands. This wide beach, with clear waters and soft sand, gives you the opportunity to admire as two seas join together. The beach is very windy, and many people take the chance to windsurf and kitesurf. During the low tide, you can walk to Prasonisi Island, where you can follow a trail to the Prasonisi Lighthouse. There are restaurants, resorts and stores along the entrance road, and at the beach you can find windsurfing stores. Being so far from Rhodes, the beach is empty almost every day, only getting crowded on sundays.

With views over the nearby Paros Island, staying to watch the sunset is a must. People tend to rent a bicycle and ride along this stretch of sand, or take relaxing walks. The water is shallow and calm, safe for kids and inexperienced swimmers, and to the left side of the beach, clothing is optional. There are restaurants, beach bars, supermarkets and resorts nearby, and a campground if you wish to stay the night. Avoid swimming without proper shoes since there are rocks underwater.

The water is clear with small waves, making it a safe spot for swimming; besides, there are different sport fields along the coast, from basketball and soccer to tennis, and even an athletic swimming pool. There is a small cafe at the beach offering snacks and drinks. It never gets overly crowded or busy, and the atmosphere at Votsalakia Beach is always relaxing and serene.

In the middle of the beach, a huge shipwreck catches your attention even before you arrive. The beach has shattered seashells and there can be pieces of rusted metal around; bring sturdy shoes. Going to the Navagio Beach View Point at the top of the white cliffs is a must; from there, you get unforgettable scenery. There are no facilities at the beach, but it still gets crowded most days; visit as early as possible to avoid the crowd.
