The following list highlights some of the best places to visiting in Togo. So if you are in Togo, I recommend visiting the following:

1. Voodoo Fetish Market, Lome

It is considered one of the most haunted places on earth. The reason is clear: everything needed for a voodoo ritual is sold there. Dog heads, snake skins and cockroach skulls makeup only a small fraction of the varieties on the market. It is located in Lomé, the capital of Togo. With 51% of the country’s population practising voodoo, there is no shortage of buyers. Tourists come to this market to see the treasures and locals come to find cures and magic tricks. The voodoo priests have great authority among the local population. They are said to know white magic and use it to resist evil spells and protect their clients.

2. Lake Togo, Lome

Ideally, this tour is best done in a slow, relaxed canoe. You have plenty of time to watch the fishermen cast their nets and catch a full load of shrimp. In the hearts of the voodoo people, Lake Togo has always been the place where the gods appeared. It is said that the Virgin Mary will come out of the water to Togoville, as it is done in a canoe. Your ideal trip is to go to the village of Agbodrafo and hire a boatman.

3. Cascade de Wome, Plateaux

To reach the waterfall you have to walk a little more than 15 minutes, partly by stairs (dangerous if it rains), partly on flat terrain, to reach the waterfall you have to know the terrain very well, so I recommend a guide. The path from Kpalimé, the instability of the road and the nature protection of the surrounding area make Wome Waterfall an unspoiled place that is rarely visited, it has completely preserved its natural charm and is very, very valuable.
