1. Nan Lian Garden, Diamond Hill

Nan Lian Garden is located on Diamond Hill with a full view of the southeastern Kowloon Peninsula, was founded in 2006 and is based on a traditional Chinese garden in the Tang Dynasty style. Inside Nan Lian you will also find a tea house, a vegetarian restaurant, a small canteen where you can buy refreshments and a souvenir store. This garden is pure perfection! Its architecture and landscaping provide a sense of serenity and tranquillity, and it is the perfect place to observe how modernity and the oriental coexist in one place. A true paradise in the middle of the city.

2. Dragon’s Back, Hong Kong Island

Dragon’s Back is one of Hong Kong’s most popular hiking trails. A cool trail continues through lush bamboo forest. The eight-kilometre Dragon’s Back Trail offers spectacular views of fishing villages, boating bays and pristine beaches. You can hike up and down the Dragon in about 90 minutes. To avoid heavy rains and fully enjoy the scenery, it is recommended to hike during the warm, dry months of March through October.

3. The Peak, Hong Kong Island

Hong Kong’s most famous attraction and the place with the best panoramic views. Being the most famous and highest mountain on Hong Kong Island, many people assume that it is also the highest in the region, however this is incorrect. The Peak Tram is the best way to reach Victoria Peak, Hong Kong’s most popular tourist attraction, and enjoy its wonderful panoramic views. Once at the top, enjoy the famous city skyline from the panoramic observation deck at Sky Terrace 428, the world’s highest 360-degree viewing deck.

4. Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, Lantau Island

The theme park covers an area of approximately 120,000 hectares, making it the smallest Disneyland park in the world. The park consists of seven themed areas that welcome visitors with rides, stores, restaurants and live entertainment. All shows have long lines so I recommend being there 30 minutes early to ensure entrance and a best seat.

5. Sunset Peak, Lantau Island

The second highest mountain on Lantau Island, as the name suggests, offers spectacular views of the island, watching planes take off from the airport along a two-hour trail. It is famous for its breathtaking view of rolling hills partially shrouded in mist.

6. Tian Tan Buddha, Lantau Island

It is the largest bronze Buddha in the world. It measures 34 metres and weighs about 250 tons. Although it looks like a historical piece, it was actually built in 1993. On top of that base there is a lotus flower where the Buddha sits facing north, as the most important statues of a Buddha should be oriented. This is one of the most popular Buddhist pilgrimage points, not only for tourists, but also for faithful Buddhists. It symbolises the union of man with nature. The truth is that it is in a perfect enclave, because the landscape seen from above is spectacular.

7. Lion Rock, New Territories

It is a lion-shaped hill overlooking the Kowloon area. At the top, Lion’s Head Rock is a great place to watch the sunset over the city from the forest. Hong Kong’s Lion Rock Hike is one of the most popular hikes in the region and offers spectacular views from Kowloon to downtown Hong Kong. For residents, this rock represents the protection of the spirits of all people.

8. Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark, Sai Kung

It contains 24 rural parks and 22 special geological heritage areas dedicated to the class and spectacular forms of conservation, education and recreation, conservation, education and leisure. It has facilities for visitors and tours by boat and by land. In the Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark, visitors can explore the fascinating history of our planet over millions of years, from the Devonian Period, through the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, to the Ice Age and the time when the climate became warm.

9. Hong Kong Wetland Park, Yuen Long

The wetland park demonstrates the hidden side of Hong Kong by showcasing precious natural resources and exhibiting the rich biodiversity of the archipelago. An incredible variety of public activities such as playgroups, exhibitions and workshops are held here to educate the public about conservation. They can also discover the secrets of the mysterious underwater life at the Wetland Indoor Aquarium, catch a glimpse of the crocodile at Pui Pui Home and meet the endangered black-faced spoonbill.conservation, education and recreation.
