The beach hotel in Mutsamudu is ranked as one of the best beaches on the island of Anjouan. Generally the beach is always crowded with locals so you could say it is a bit crowded, however, it is quite long and has a soft sandy beach to spend some time enjoying the sea.

4. Monte Ntingui, Anjouan

An ancient volcano covered with exotic flora including large ferns, tropical mahogany and wild orchids. It is over 1500 metres high. From the top you can enjoy the best views of the archipelago, Mohely, Grande Comore and the French region of Mayotte.

The Best Places in Grande Comore

7. Banc Vailheu Volcano, Grande Comore, Comoros

It is an underwater volcano that extends nine miles underwater. With a depth of 10 to 50 metres, it is an ideal dive site for intermediate divers. You have the opportunity to see hammerhead sharks, tuna and catfish while diving with many species such as corals, sponges, tiger eels, sea bass and mackerel.

8. Bouni Beach, Grande Comore

This large white sandy beach with palm trees is truly a wonderful place. This place is located about 46 kilometres from the capital Moroni, the nature of the beach is unspoilt and clean. The very active volcano has exploded more than 20 times since the 19th century. These repeated explosions formed the number of volcanoes, but the frost largely fled. The mountain forests are threatened by deforestation and agricultural expansion. Most of the species found in the mountains are endemic to the Comoros.

La Grille is a volcano at the northern end of Ngazidja. Unlike the larger and better known Karthala volcano, it lacks a caldera at the summit, but has abundant pyroclastic cones. 17. Chissioua Ouénéfou, Moheli

Areas that are teeming with numerous species of plants and animals, as well as interesting geological formations created by volcanic eruptions are what you will find in Chissioua Ouenefou located in the Mozambique Channel.
