This picturesque beach, with its soft sand and shallow waters, is one of the most popular beaches in Papua New Guinea. Ela Beach is a favorite among locals to enjoy a fun day off, or relax admiring the stunning view. There are basketball and volleyball courts at the beach, as well as playgrounds for kids to enjoy. On the last Saturday of every month, the Ela Beach Craft Market takes place at the beach, where local artists sell their carvings and other handmade pieces. There are beach bars and resorts nearby.

There are plenty of stores and accommodation around the town, as well as a few restaurants and bars. Machine Gun Beach is popular among locals and tourists alike, and it tends to be busy during weekend afternoons.

The water is shallow with small waves for swimming and bodyboarding, the long coast is nice for walking and sunbathing, and you can explore the limestone caves in the area. There are no restaurants at the beach, but there are barbecue areas and shaded tables for picnics. The beach is usually uncrowded, but it can be busy during high season.

There are no restaurants or accommodation nearby, but you can bring your own food and have a picnic with stunning scenery. This is a favorite spot among locals, but it never gets crowded and only feels busy during weekends.
