The atmosphere is vibrant during holidays, but quiet and relaxed otherwise. Some people choose to stay after admiring the sunset, camping on the grassy areas of the beach. There are ice cream stores in the area, and the restaurants nearby offer everything from seafood, to Honduran typical dishes and even grilled food.

This beach is known for having the second-largest reef barrier in the world, which makes it a popular snorkeling spot. Even though during the morning it can be very crowded, by afternoon the beach is emptier and quiet. West Bay Beach has an active atmosphere, with many activities to enjoy; scuba diving, jet skiing, and paragliding are among the favorites watersports available. Restaurants in the beach offer delicious food that you can enjoy as you admire the panoramic view.
Maya Key Private Island, Honduras

Maya Key is a private island located off the coast of Coxen Hole, in Roatán Island. This is the true definition of a paradisiacal island, with clear turquoise waters and palm trees giving off an unforgettable view. You can visit the animal refuge on the island, where you can see rescued animals up close. Snorkelling in Maya Key is another highlight, giving you the chance to admire the coral reefs and all the species that live there. Besides, the Mayan ruins replicas on the island are very popular and learning about them is a great experience. The food provided on the tours is delicious and at the gift shop you can get souvenirs.
Peru Beach, Honduras

If you want to have a relaxing time on the beach, avoid visiting during weekends, when it gets more crowded and some people play loud music.
