The following highlights some of the popular Traditional Wallisian Foods. If you manage to be in an Wallisian restaurant or you are visiting Wallis And Futuna, I recommend the following:

1. Moa

The dish is characterised by a balance of spicy, salty and sweet. This easy chicken curry is made with chicken pieces, coconut milk, flour, water, oil, curry powder, spices such as ginger, garlic and onion, and vegetables such as potato, carrot and celery. When the curry has reached the desired consistency, it is recommended to serve it with aerated white rice.

2. Ika

Is an Oceanic dish consisting of raw fish marinated in citrus juice and coconut milk. The Tongan, Tahitian and Samoan variations are essentially the same, with the raw fish marinated briefly in lemon or lime juice until the flesh becomes opaque. The fish is then mixed with coconut milk and diced vegetables (most commonly cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, spring onions and peppers).
