Also called revani or ravani, it is a delicious and very nutritious bun made of durum wheat semolina, dried fruits and sugar syrup. It contains yogurt, semolina, wheat flour and syrup, all flavored with orange blossom or rose essence. In its country of origin, basbousa is served at the end of a banquet, or as a snack accompanied by typical drinks of the region. At home, it is very good as an afternoon snack or for breakfast.

Hibiscus flower, also called Jamaica rose or Jamaica flower, is attributed with numerous benefits for our health, being one of the medicinal plants with the best reputation. 8. Goraasa be Dama

This typical Sudanese meal is made with beef stew and flat bread, the former being served on top of the latter to present the dish. Instead of serving the stew as a soup as they usually do in African countries, this stew is served thicker, similar to a curry.

9. Fassikh

It is a fermented and salted fish, which is accompanied with green leaves and sesame sauce to soften its intense flavor. It is also one of the fish dishes of Ancient Egypt and popular to celebrate the arrival of spring.

10. Kawari
