The following list highlights some of the best beaches in Tokelau. So if you are in Tokelau, I recommend visiting the following:
Fenua Fala, Fakaofo
Address – Fakaofo Wharf, Fenua Fala, Tokelau
Google Maps Link – 9°22’25.5″S 171°15’46.7″W
Fenua Fala is one of the islets on the western side of Fakaofo, one of the atolls in Tokelau. With soft and pristine white sand and a palm trees forest, this paradisiacal islet is surrounded by turquoise waters, offering a peaceful atmosphere and stunning views. The shallow water is calm and warm, perfect for swimming and snorkeling, with coral reefs and marine life. There are a few basic facilities, but you can bring your own food and necessary supplies. It never gets overly crowded and busy, and even during high season, you can find a quiet spot to sit, sunbathe and relax.
Atafu Beach, Atafu
Address – Atafu Village, Tokelau
Google Maps Link – 8°32’01.4″S 172°31’11.3″W
Atafu Beach is located in the Atafu village, on the northern part of the Atafu atoll in Tokelau. This serene beach offers soft white sand backdropped by palm trees, with turquoise waters and stunning sunset views. Clear and calm, the water around the atoll is rich with marine life and perfect for snorkeling; chances of spotting whales and dolphins are high, and the coast is great for birdwatching. Near the ferry terminal, you can find some stores serving fresh seafood and drinks. This atoll is a rather popular one, but it never feels busy or crowded, and the atmosphere is always peaceful.
