The following list highlights some of the best beaches in Iran. So if you are in Iran, I recommend visiting the following:
Ladies’ Beach, Kish Island
Address – Ladies’ Beach, Kish Island, Iran
Google Maps Link – 26°33’46.4″N 54°01’02.3″E
Ladies’ Beach is located on the Northern Coast of Kish Island. This beach is clean, and the water is clear and warm. It is called Ladies’ Beach or Women’s Beach since this is the only beach where women can wear bikinis. The wide variety of colorful fish species in the area turn swimming and snorkeling into two top activities; bring your own swimming sneakers. There are shops where you can get snacks and food, although they are a bit overpriced; an ice cream is a good option for something cool. You need to pay a small fee to enter the beach, and there are lockers where you can keep your stuff safe. Avoid taking pictures, it is prohibited because of Islamic rules.
Gisoom Beach, Talesh
Address – Gisoom Beach, Talesh, Iran
Google Maps Link – 37°40’39.5″N 49°03’07.6″E
Gisoom Beach is located in Talesh, in Northern Iran, where the country meets the Caspian Sea. To get to this beach, you need to pass a natural tunnel formed by a beautiful dense forest; the trees on both sides are so tall that they cover the sky. Jungles are rare in Iran, which is why Gisoom Beach is a top attraction, almost always crowded. You can rent rooms just beside the beach, or use a tent and camp on the fine sand, and enjoy delicious food at the many beach restaurants. Avoid going during summer, you will have to pay to enter since the beach is a holiday spot.
Zeytoon Park, Qeshm
Address – Zeytoon Park, Qeshm, Iran
Google Maps Link – 26°56’00.1″N 56°16’15.1″E
Zeytoon Park is located to the easternmost part of Qeshm Island, in the Strait of Hormuz. The park has many green areas and palm trees almost everywhere, and the beach is sandy and safe. Of course, it can be crowded and have lots of kids running around, but you can still walk along the beach and have a relaxing time. The park is perfect for picnics and admiring the sunset with the high tide, and many people go snorkeling here; but if you do, be careful of the boats. There are good restaurants and cafes around the park.
Darak Beach, Iran
Address – Darak Beach, Iran
Google Maps Link – 25°28’10.4″N 59°28’21.8″E
Darak Beach is located in southern Iran, on the Gulf of Oman. This sandy beach, where the desert meets the sea, is the definition of isolation. There is only one road to reach Darak Beach, and the few locals that you find are friendly and will surely help you in anything you need. You can have a picnic under the shade of a palm tree and then hike on the sand dunes to find the perfect spot to admire the sunset.
Ramin Beach, Chabahar
Address – Ramin Beach, Chabahar, Iran
Google Maps Link – 25°16’11.0″N 60°44’55.4″E
Ramin Beach is located east of Chabahar, in southern Iran. Ramin is divided into two parts, or two seas; big sea and small sea. Big sea, to the Southside of Chabahar, has big waves and the beach is rocky. Small sea, to the east, is calm and perfect for scuba diving; on Small sea, you can also find the only surfing site in Iran. The monsoon season is the best for surfing, from May to October, since the waves are higher. There is a small surf community, but they have little to no access to equipment; if you visit Ramin Beach, bring surf accessories to leave behind. Donations are always appreciated! Since Iran is an Islamic country, there is no access to alcoholic drinks, but seafood in the area is fresh and delicious.
Rudsar Beach, Rud Sar
Address – Rudsar Beach, Rud Sar, Iran
Google Maps Link – 37°09’55.3″N 50°17’38.6″E
Rudsar Beach is located in Rud Sar, south of the Caspian sea. It is a calm and isolated beach, and although you will not find any recreational facilities, you can still have a relaxing time. The weather in Rud Sar is always pleasant. Getting up early to admire the sunrise is totally worth it.
