Schiermonnikoog Island is part of the West Frisian Islands, in the Friesland Region of Northern Netherlands. This is the smallest island of the chain, with only one village settled in the area, small cafes and restaurants around. For this reason, the beaches on the northern coast of the island are always empty and quiet, perfect to have a relaxing time and disconnect from the world. There are bicycle paths around the island, some leading to the uninhabited and almost unexplored eastern coast.
