Tjørnuvik Beach is located in Tjørnuvík, in Northern Streymoy, the largest of the Faroe Islands. This unique spot offers some of the most breathtaking views in the Faroe Islands, with a sandy coast covered in dark rocks and surrounded by steep cliffs. The water is cold even during the summer months, but still great to dip your feet in and, for those who are brave enough, swim and play in the waves. There are a couple of cafes in the area offering snacks and warm drinks; however, you can bring your own food. This lovely spot never gets crowded, and even during the busiest days, it’s wide enough to allow space for everyone.

Gøtusandur Beach is known for its great nightlife, and you can find a few nightclubs around the small town. Besides, the G! Festival takes place at Gøtusandur Beach every year, with faroese and international musicians coming together. It is a popular beach among locals, especially in July, when the festival takes place.
