Ethel Beach is located on the eastern coast of Christmas Island, south of Indonesia. This small secluded beach, with white sand and white pebbles backdropped with a verdant forest., is a beautiful hidden gem. Ethel Beach is known for being a perfect spot to witness the great crab migration, when many bright red crabs fill the white beach. Although scary, it is a spectacle worth admiring. Besides, with many different bird species living in the forest, the beach is an amazing place for nature lovers. However, the beach is not a touristy spot, so there are no facilities or restaurants nearby, with the nearest accommodation being some 500 meters north.

Lily Beach, Christmas Island

Lily Beach is located on the eastern coast of Christmas Island, south of Indonesia. This small but wide sandy beach has shallow, clear water, and offers stunning views as well as a calm atmosphere. There are different species of bird around the forest and often on the rocky areas of the beach, making it a great bird watching spot. Avoid walking around the beach or swimming without swim shoes since the sand is filled with sharp pieces of broken corals. There are no restaurants or stores nearby, but there is a picnic area with a barbecue grill available. Lily Beach is nor highly visited, remaining empty and quiet all year long, perfect for a relaxing holiday.

Greta Beach, Christmas Island

Greta Beach is located on the eastern coast of Christmas Island, south of Indonesia. Even though it is no longer than 100 meters, this small, white sandy beach is the biggest beach in Christmas Island. As the beach is enclosed by towering rocky cliffs, the only way to reach it is by climbing down a flight of stairs. Greta Beach is a peaceful, quiet spot, paradise for nature lovers since many marine species can be seen in the water and around the sand. There are no restaurants or facilities at the beach, and it never gets too crowded or noisy.

West White Beach is located on the northern coast of Christmas Island. Both sandy and rocky, this secluded beach is a great spot for hiking lovers, with stunning views and an unspoiled feeling. However, the walk from the parking lot and climb down to the beach is difficult and not suitable for everyone. Fortunately, not many people visit this beach, offering a quiet and serene atmosphere to relax and disconnect. There are no restaurants at the beach, so make sure to bring your own food and water, especially water!

Dolly Beach is located on the eastern coast of Christmas Island. After a calm hike through a lush rainforest, you find yourself on a small and quiet beach, with white sand and bright blue waters. Dolly Beach is the perfect spot for nature lovers to explore and admire an unspoiled beach; besides, you can spot blue crabs along the boardwalk to the beach, and around the coast as well. Remember to check the tides before visiting, and go during low tide if you wish to swim. There are no restaurants or bars at the beach, so make sure you bring your own food and water. It is usually empty and quiet, but it can be crowded on weekends, especially during summer.
