From 25, I decided to travel by myself, instead of waiting on my friends to pursue my dreams of travelling around the world. From making that first steps it’s allowed me to see so many places & I’ve collected so many ideas & experiences that I want to share with you. 🏖️🌅🌆

Currently I enjoy spending my time as a successful digital nomad (blogger, vlogger & entrepreneur) who has been to 6 continents. 🌎🌍🌏

Rafting and Biking Tour – Pacuare to Nicoya, Costa Rica takes you through white-water rivers, active volcanoes, rainforests, and astonishing beaches which is part of the natural environment that is around you in this journey. There’s no better way to explore all these beauties than by using your own power to paddle and pedal through the stunning Pacuare River to the Nicoya Peninsula, Costa Rica.

In order to enjoy the best of what Costa Rica has to offer, you will have to go rafting, mountain biking, trekking, and sea kayaking over a period of eight days. This journey begins with a two-day rafting trip to Siquirres along the Pacuare with its world-class rapids. From the high peaks of the Cordillera Central, the river’s water flows its way through the valley until it reaches the Caribbean Sea.

Near the Turrialba volcano, you will find the raft put-in point at Tres Equis. Here you will have a practice and a safety instruction session, then you will be able to go down the river. Additionally, the ones who are at the front of the raft are the ones who get the best views.

Once your first day is done, you will stay overnight camping in El Nido del Tigre until you start the second day of this journey. Here you will see the biggest rapids and the key to control them is to listen to your guide’s commands. Eventually, you will arrive at Siquirres and you will feel proud of your first achievement in this new adventure of your life.

If you head to the north, you will get to the perfectly shaped Arenal volcano, which is one of the most active in the world. If you want to stretch your legs, there are several hiking trails that you can take. Tackling one of them will give you a good excuse to spend an evening in the luxurious Tabacón Hot Springs resort.

Back on the road, you will have to drive for several hours through hills to the Pacific coast, where you will have to ride a mountain bike down the Nicoya Peninsula to Samara. Once you finish with this, you will find yourself in the most remote parts of Costa Rica, where you can appreciate the breathtaking beauty of their beaches, which are a magical place for pedaling. Additionally, the final pedaling section takes you to Playa San Miguel where, if you’re lucky enough, you will see turtles coming ashore at night to lay their eggs.

Just for you to know

San José-based Coast to Coast Adventures offers a multisport itinerary to explore and get to know Costa Rica. Equipment is included or can be hired from them. Also, it’s important that you check your physical conditions with a doctor before adventuring into this journey because the heat and humidity can make it tough.
