Things to do

Fishing!

Once you settle down in the heather-clad banks of the Garry River, you will feel relaxed as you enjoy some quiet fishing. This moment is just for you to get along with nature. If you’re new into the world of flying-fishing, then you have nothing to worry about! A gillie is totally willing to teach you the basics in just a few hours. He will also help you to improve your fishing technique so you can catch some fish with a perfectly placed fly.

The Garry River

Even though there is a variety of wonderful places where you can go fishing, there is nothing like the Garry River. From east to west, it flows from Loch Quoich and Loch Garry.

The Inverlochy Castle Hotel

If you want to rest, Scotland offers unique places where you can spend the end of your long day fishing, from traditional inns to castles. Can you imagine for a second that you’re a king or queen on their castle? Well, you can live that experience by going to the Inverlochy Castle Hotel. Inside the castle, high chandeliered ceilings and hunting trophies catch all your attention. Then, head to the castle’s restaurant for some of the best food you’ll ever have.

Ben Nevis Distillery

The grounds of the hotel offer a good view of Scotland mountains. The highest of them all is Ben Nevis; accept the challenge and try to hike it! Also, at the foot of this mountain, you can find the Ben Nevis Distillery. Here, the Ben Nevis 10 Years Old, and Ben Nevis 21 Years Old whiskey are distilled. Built into an old warehouse, you can enter the Visitor Center, and discover the Legend of the Nevis Dew. The Visitor Center offers a tour of the production areas, finished with a complimentary whiskey tasting.
