From 25, I decided to travel by myself, instead of waiting on my friends to pursue my dreams of travelling around the world. From making that first steps it’s allowed me to see so many places & I’ve collected so many ideas & experiences that I want to share with you. 🏖️🌅🌆

Currently I enjoy spending my time as a successful digital nomad (blogger, vlogger & entrepreneur) who has been to 6 continents. 🌎🌍🌏

1. Taï National Park, Montagnes District

The park offers the opportunity to live some truly exceptional experiences. When visiting the park, it is essential to have a specialised guide, who will allow you not only to see different animal species but also to get to know their habits and their environment. On a walking safari, the encounter with a family of chimpanzees in the middle of the forest is a fascinating and tremendously exciting experience, very different from the one you have when watching animals from a vehicle.

2. Mount Nimba, Montagnes District

Mount Nimba has been designated a World Heritage Site since 1981 but has been categorised as ‘endangered’ since 1992, due to the threat of iron ore mining. The best place to hike at Mount Nimba is Am Mount Nimba which is 9.2km long and has an elevation gain of 479m. It takes an average of 3 minutes to walk.

3. Comoé National Park, North-eastern

It is one of the largest protected areas in West Africa, covering an area of almost 1.15 million hectares. The greatest importance of this reserve lies in the great diversity of plant species that cover the territory. La Comoé is, at least for now, a little visited park due to the recent history of the country and the inaccessibility of the territory. On the other hand, it has the charm of being able to do a more authentic safari, with less travelling.

4. Îles Ehotilé National Park, Sud-Comoé

A group of six islands near Assinier. 128 bird species in 35 families are recorded. Most of these are aquatic species, and migratory birds also visit the park during the dry season. The park is also home to traditional forest mammals such as antelope and wild boar.

5. Archaeological Park of Ahouakro, Tiassale

Covering an area of 120 hectares, it is dominated by plant formations characteristic of the border between forest and savannah. The site is also the setting for the religious activities of the local population. Visits to the site are therefore compulsorily subject to the approval of the custodians and the Ahouakro connoisseurs. The Ahouakro Archaeological Park is home to numerous vestiges of vanished civilisations.

6. La Dent de Man, Tonkpi

It is a mountain with an altitude of about 800m in Ivory Coast. Near Forêt classée Dent de Man, near Cascades Naturelles de Glonous. During the hike you can see coffee, cocoa and banana plantations. The last section requires more footwork, but is well worth it.

7. Les Cascades de Man, Tonkpi

The area around Man is known for La Cascade, a waterfall 5 kilometres from the village that feeds a bamboo forest. You walk along a nice paved road to get there. Locals come here to swim and visitors can join in.

8. Mont Tonkoui, Tonkpi

Enjoy the panoramic view of the unspoilt nature from the top of Tonkou Mountain. You can make most of the way to the top by car, but you will have to walk to the end, which gives you the opportunity to admire the vegetation and scenery of the area. Pick fruit on your journey or take a detour to visit a nearby coffee plantation. Don’t forget to bring snacks and water, as you won’t find any restaurants nearby.

9. Basilica of Our Lady of Peace, Yamoussoukro

Source by jbdodane – Under Flickr Creative Commons License

This place is not as old as it seems, since it was built between 1985 and 1989, and from the front you can see its great dome, which clearly reminds us of St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City. If the exterior is already impressive, the interior is not far behind: it has immense columns made of marble, a mixture of styles and materials, which will amaze many who expect something totally different.
