Nakupenda Beach, Stone Town

Nakupenda Beach is located in Stone Town. Nakupenda, which in Swahili means I love you, is the name of an incredible sandbank located right next to the city of Stone. By visiting this beach you can enjoy the giant turtles of Prison Island, snorkeling, sunbathing, tasting seafood and seasonal fruits.

Kendwa Beach, Kendwa

Kendwa Beach is located in Kendwa. Is a long stretch of sand that extends along the west coast about 3 km south of the tip of the island of Zanzibar. Nearby are several resorts, hotels and guest houses. There are plenty of water activities to do, and the tide is ideal, safe for swimming at any time.
Jambiani Beach, Jambiani

Jambiani Beach is located in Jambiani. It is a beautiful beach 7 km long with palm trees throughout its length. Unlike some northern beaches, this beach has white and dusty sand and has almost no rocks or sea urchins. The barrier reef is just a few kilometers away, with a beautiful crystalline turquoise lagoon in the middle.
Paje Beach, Paje

Nungwi Beach, Nungwi

Nungwi Beach is located in Nungwi. It has palm trees, mangroves and casuarinas, as well as the ideal water for good snorkeling and diving. A small aquarium with sea turtles has also been recently created in the village. In addition to tourism and fishing, agriculture is a minor part of economic activity. Farmers grow lentils, corn, beans and cassava.
Matemwe Beach, Matemwe

Misali Island Beach, Zanzibar

Misali Island is located in Misali Island. Bordered by crystal clear waters and stunning coral reefs, Misali offers some of the best scuba diving in East Africa, while snorkeling is spectacular and easily accessible from the beach. Around the island, turtles nest on beaches on the west side, while on the northeast coast is Baobab beach, with fine sand and a small ranger station.
Chukwani Beach, Zanzibar

Chukwani Beach is located on the western coast of Zanzibar. This extensive beach is both sandy and rocky, with beautiful and dramatic views backdropped by lush trees. The water is bright blue and clear, calm and safe for swimming, and the atmosphere is serene and perfect to sunbathe and relax. There is a beach bar and a resort nearby. It can get busy during weekends afternoons, but the beach remains quiet and never gets crowded.
Fuji Beach, Zanzibar

Fuji Beach is located on the western coast of Zanzibar. A long stretch of soft sand offering stunning coastal views on a relaxing atmosphere. The water is usually not suitable to swim, however, the beach is great for walking and sunbathing. Most visitors arrive during the evening to admire the sunset, but the beach never gets busy or crowded. There is a resort in the are with all necessary facilities.
Michamvi Sunset Beach, Zanzibar

Michamvi Sunset Beach is located in Michamvi Kae, on the eastern coast of Zanzibar. Pristine white sand stretches for as far as the eye can see on this quiet beach, with palm trees giving off the feeling of a paradisiacal island. The water is warm and clear, calm enough to be safe for swimming; during low tide, only the left end of the beach is available for swimming. There are a few restaurants and bars along the beach, as well as resorts in the area. Most visitors arrive in the evening to admire the unique sunset; however, the beach never gets crowded or busy.
