Chaves Beach, Boa Vista

Address – Chaves Beach, Boa Vista, Cape Verde

Chaves beach is located in Boa Vista. Its sand is so incredibly white that it will dazzle you. Palm trees, some rocks, straw huts and sun loungers decorate the beach and make it look even more wonderful than it is. You may find some vendors selling handicrafts on the beach, and you can also enjoy some local food along the beach.

Santa Monica Beach, Boa Vista

Santa Monica beach is located in Boa Vista. It is a long and wide beach, it looks like a desert, because it has almost no vegetation. It is the perfect beach for extreme sports, such as ATV, in fact, the most likely is to get some in rent on the beach. The water is spectacular, turquoise blue and quite calm, perfect for a dip after doing some sports or sunbathing.

Sao Pedro Beach, Sao Vicente

Sao Pedro beach is located in… You guess it, São Pedro. It is quite common to find fishermen’s rockers stranded on the shore of this beach. It is surrounded by a large rocky mountain and almost no vegetation. It is not a big beach but it has enough space for you to settle in with your umbrella and beach towel to have a good day in the sun.


Laginha Beach, Mindelo

Laginha beach is located in Mindelo, Sao Vicente. This beach looks like paradise on earth, crystal clear and bright water, which beautifully reflects the blue sky, white sand and clean. You can choose between the different awnings that are available there for you, and do not miss the opportunity to take pictures because the landscape is dreamed.

Santa Maria beach is located in Santa Maria, Sal. It is a beautiful beach, white sand and aquamarine water, with a large pier where many fishermen come to sell the day’s fishing, so you can buy fresh fish and collaborate with the local economy, in addition to seeing the small boats is quite entertaining.

Praia Grande, São Vicente

Praia Grande is located in São Vicente. It is a really long beach, with some waves, white sand and surrounded by volcanic rocks. It does not have any awnings or huts so we recommend that you bring your own. It is accessible by road from Calhau and Baía das Gatas.

Tarrafal beach is located in Tarrafal. In the background you can see a large mountain called “Monte Graciosa”, the vegetation is very present on this beach, especially palms. You can also find many peñeros stranded on the shore and lots of fresh fish, caught by themselves, local women help to sell it. You will also find other types of products to buy such as cold coconuts, perfect for refreshment.
