There is also another places for those who want only to contemplate beautiful places through unmissable cruises and expeditions that cross islands, glaciers, bays, and cliffs. Another option is to visit the Tierra del Fuego National Park, with typical animal and plant species, and important testimonies of the first inhabitants of the region.

Separated from the continent, Tierra del Fuego is shared with Chile and in the eastern and southern part, there is a maritime coastline. You can see when the Argentine side ends, since it is differentiated by three well-marked zones.

Standing out the city of Rio Grande, on the Atlantic Ocean in the north, the terrain is of plateaus and plains with sparse vegetation of coirones. In this part of the island, you will have the opportunity to see guanacos, foxes, sheep and cattle breeding; there is also the possibility of observing the maritime horizon.

In the center of the province of Tierra del Fuego, in a transitional area, is the municipality of Tolhuin on the headwaters of Lake Fagnano, gateway to the Andean-Patagonian forests. The natural attractions in this area are the Provincial Heart of the Island, Laguna Negra and Rio Valdez Reserves, sites that provide a unique access to lagoons, forests, cliffs, streams, beavers and peat bogs, through activities such as horseback riding, hiking, and fishing.

Skiing in Cerro Castor

Austral and young wherever you look, since its inauguration Cerro Castor receives more and more visitors not only from Argentina but from all over the world, who come to the city of Ushuaia to enjoy excellent snow. Very close to the end of the world, where the sea and the mountains will come together before your eyes, the Cerro Castor ski center is only 195 meters above sea level and reaches 1,057 meters on its summit.

Lago Fagnano

The striking image of Lago Fagnano stands out between the mountains and the rugged plateau. Its vibrant blue is curled by the southern wind, forming waves that break on the shore. With an extension of about 100 kilometers, its large surface can be seen from the Argentine territory, and is shared with Chile to other waters in that country in the Strait of Magellan, through the Azopardo River.

The End of the World Train

It’s one of the most emblematic tours that takes place in the city of Ushuaia. It will be enough to get on the wagon of a train to travel in time to a special past. Today  you will find other locomotives and wagons, but the route remains intact and will allow you to live a unique experience. The route was carried out by convicts in the prison to fulfill their daily routine in the forests surrounding the southern town.

Considered one of the best tourist spots in Latin America, this is a place that you should visit has an incredible flora and fauna, some really beautiful landscapes and other attractions that make this place stand out. Visiting and touring it will take more than a week if you want to enjoy it to the fullest.
