Commonly chosen as a destination for honeymoon trips, Bali is also one of the favorite places for lovers of surf and other water sports. In Bali, it is possible to enjoy some of the most wonderful hotels in the world, where spectacular views make you lose the notion of space and time and the world ceases to exist.

Two things define Bali, the temples and religious beliefs of its inhabitants that are a unique blend of Hinduism and animism. The worship of the Hindu gods and the worship of the epic heroes of the Ramayana are combined with a belief in the spirits that leads each village to have three temples in which annually a festival is celebrated in which local people wear traditional costumes, bring ornate offerings of fruits and other products as a sign of their strong beliefs.

In addition to being a place of rest and full of culture, Bali is an island with a lot to see, Monkey Forest, the rice fields, Taman Gili and the best temples of Bali are a small example of everything there is to see and do in this Magic Island.

Knowing a mythical island!

Rice fields of Bali

The extensive rice fields of Bali are the most beautiful landscape that can be seen on the island. On the extension of the green mantle that makes the principal of their food sprout, the Balinese work in a millimetric way, remaining patiently next to their crops while they take care of each one of the plants and each one of the buds.

Temples

Balinese citizens are very religious and this is something that is reflected in the fact that in Bali there are more temples than houses. Adding the main temples to the altars and sanctuaries that each family has in their homes, in Bali, there are several tens of thousands of temples.

The Balinese temples are the center of the life of the citizens, who come to take offerings with great frequency. The best time to get close to any of the temples are the days of the full moon when the sanctuaries dress up and receive continuous visits from their faithful.

Strolling down the street, it is easy to stumble over small baskets of offerings that citizens leave throughout the city claiming that God is everywhere.

Bali is not the typical beach destination where it is impossible to find something to see or do, in fact, it is difficult to decide between all the options offered. In addition to being a comforting place for the soul, Bali offers activities such as surfing, diving courses or boat riding, biking and hiking, cooking courses, traditional shows and many more activities that make Bali one of the best destinations to visit.
